The trick is to learn, and remember, that we can and do love more than once and we don't have one "soul mate" we have lots. But don't tell yourself you're love isn't real, don't lie to yourself or lock away your heart. that'll numb the grief for now, but it'll make it last that much longer...like coals you bury, they don't seem as hot but they smolder forever. Face the pain, face the grief, and know that every living thing that has a heart feels it too at some time.
