ok and now with the big news...
So I was wondering if I was still going to have a job after tomorrow. it's not that I have been fuckign up at work. there has been some rumors of some changes being made, and possibly some sales reps being cut. and since my boss took over 2 territories last December, there were some older reps in the other area. so I fall pretty low on the totem pole.
well my phone rings around 5:00 or so.it is a guy from work. whom I hardly talk to. so he says to me, "this is between me and you, I just got out of a meeting with bob, and it's safe to say you still have a job"
so then explains to me what is going on. they are going to make super routes now. which means that all the reps will have equal amounts of stores relative to volume. well the way they are structuring it, is that there will be 2 ASM positions. 1 LEAD, and one Sales Rep. Turns out, I got the job as lead. I am now responsible for selling in new products, accountable for the computer and writing orders. this will mean that I will have to hardly merchandise anymore. WHICH puts a huge load off my back.(literally) The other ASM will be in charge of operations, merchandising, and writing orders. I will have 6 guys under me now. 1 ASM, 4 Full time merchandisers, and 1 part timer. I went from having 6 stores to having 9. One problem is that I now have 2 ghetto stores. 1 HUGE ghetto store. like PAYNE AVE ghetto. But it is nice because I am losing my one store that I absolutely hate.
This lifts a huge load off my back knowing I still have a job. I was worried I wasn't going to have a job at all, but turns out, it is a HUGE promotion for me. I'm super exited and cannot wait until I find out more tomorrow.
