So today is a very very sad day for me. I've just returned from London last night, and woke up with one of my dogs, the oldest, Moondaka, puking everwhere. Her condition worsend all day as I tried to get her vet on the phone. Eventually I just picked her up (all 120lbs of her) and put her in the car and took her to the vet.
we got to the vet and she collapsed in the lobby, couldn't even lift her head. The vet came out looking pretty grave, they did some x-rays and tests.. all the while my poor dog laying on the table, unable to even lift her head.
Heart breaking the doc's face told me everything before she even spoke. Massive internal organ failure, starting with the spleen. Basically, they said, she likely wouldn't even survive the trip to surgery or the two blood transfusions that would be neccessary.
We'd just about made the decision to let her go and she passed right there in my arms.
Rest in Peace Moondaka, my friend.

I am so sorry about your doggie. That really sucks. Anything I can say here is woefully inadequate.
