So, let's talk about funerals, and how much they piss me off.
First: It costs entirely too much money to bury someone you love...or anyone for that matter. The fact however; remains, that the family is already upset, and on top of that still has to shell out around 10 grand of their life savings to bury their loved one.
Ten grand...really?
Casket.
Plots.
To actually open and close those plots.
Tombstone.
Plate for tombstone.
Flowers.
Funeral home expenses.
....
Ridiculous.
Second: The idea of a viewing to me is unusual.
Hundreds of people standing in a room with a dead body, catching up on life and crying over death.
Thats odd.
It also gets into religious ideas, but I've never been a preacher...So I'll leave it at that.
It feels good to vent.

I agree with you 100%
The death tax and costs left to the family are very high.
Its a shame.
Though in my culture the passing of one is a time for celebration (I know it sounds morbid but hear me out)
A celebration of the life lived and memories shared.
