So I got off work at 7am.

I'm sitting in the smoking break room, scanning the paper.

Store manager pops his head in around the corner and smiles real big at me. I, of course, think I'm about to get thrown to the lions (or somesuch).

Boss: "Hey there Patrick."
Me: "...I didn't do it. I swear I didn't."
Boss: "No, you're not in trouble...for once. Actually, I was wondering if you'd consider working 12 to 9."
Me: "...like, 12 midnight to 9am?"
Boss: "No. Like, 12 noon to 9pm."
Me: "..." (jump up and hug boss)
Boss: "...I'll take that as a yes. Now, get off me before I mace you."

So that's how the shit ran, basically. We haven't hammered out my days off, but it's possible they'll stay the same.

To coin a southernism, I'm as happy as a pig in shit right now.

In other news, there is no news on my car. They're waving the "Totalled" flag, but haven't made it official yet. More to come when I find out.

I was confused cause you haven't spoken of any changes, not that I have asked about work lately. I know work sucks for you hence no talking about it.
I've never had to deal with insurance concerning an accident so everything you tell me is brand spankin new. Sounds good so far, but I wouldn't know. Just hoping for the best. smile
