Today is the weekend for the Special Olympics in Illinios. It is something my family usually goes to and work at together.

This year, my sister is the only one going. I can't go because it is Father's day weekend (great time to schedule the event). But more importantly, I am glad my dad is not going.

My dad is an extremely work oriented person. All he really thinks of is work. But he was in the hospital about two weeks ago because of an infection in his leg. He has been back for a week, but he was determined to get well (despite the fact he had to take his medicine through I.V. in his arm...not sure if that is correct though). I am glad he actually got some sense in him and is actually going to rest. He needs it. He has been in bad shape for some time, but ingnores it. He was just making himself worse.

Hopefully now he can make himself better.
