Happy New Year, except I'm going by the Chinese new year... it would seem that 2010's negative, sucktacular-ness hasn't gone away yet, and here's why:
-lost my monthly bus pass the first day of the month (FUCK). Transit lost and found said nothing's been turned in yet. I'm really hoping someone does turn it in, but I really doubt it >.>
-found a bed bug in the store I work at, at the mall
an exterminator came in to inspect the store, and said he found nothing. I guess it fell off someone.
-someone I really admire made it clear that they aren't interested in being friends
Well, I'm trying to take it all in stride and stay positive, but sometimes that's hard to do. Practice practice.. I'm tired of being the person who's always angry or upset about something. I think its jeopardized one of my friendships, and I'm hoping its not too late to fix it :o
I also have many resolutions for the new year, with all of them being very possible to achieve
AND I applied for the Photography program at the college in my city! I'm sooo excited, and I really hope I get in for this fall. I'm planning as if I will get in, in any case, and as soon as I find out for sure, I'll be applying for scholarships like crazy (tuition is about $9000..). Already looking some up, for one of them I have to read a book before doing the essay (its a book I've been wanting to read anyway... "Atlas Shrugged"). Essays don't bother me, thankfully
I've also thought about taking a skilled trade, specifically carpentry. I figure if one of my dreams is to have an old character home, I might as well learn a skill I can apply to that. Maybe I'll do that after photography.. maybe I'll just stay in school for the rest of my life
Student loan debt isn't something I'm looking forward to though.
I dunno... I have a feeling 2011 is going to be a good year 2010 was chaotic and hard, but I learned a lot and got a great boyfriend out of it I feel focused and in control right now, and all i need to do is act. Do what I've been dying to do.
I'm excited No more mediocre existence for me. The bad things that happened so far have just inspired me to keep going. I want to be the best I can be.
