In other news... I woke up this morning (I remember hearing sirens probably around 8:30 or 9ish). I look out my window, and there's police tape everywhere! Upon further inspection, a huge section of the main road I live right next to was taped off from the bridge to a side street further down. So lots of traffic re-routing and cops.
But yeah... I dunno what happened. The caretaker of my apartment building said she and the guy upstairs heard screaming at 3:30am, and even before I went to bed around 1:30 I heard voices outside. I got home around 1-ish last night and it was deserted (as usual when I get home that late). I slept really well too, didn't hear a thing all night. So yeah.. I'm assuming someone got killed or died, and I"m going to assume it was hobos because that's who hangs out in the bus shack, which is probably what they were taping off.
I'm not really scared per se, but still... its a little freaky. Its kind of like when I worked downtown full-time, and later that day around lunch time someone got shot in the bus shack at the stop I'd gotten off at only 3 hours prior. Crazy! But yeah... this is a little too Young Street for me (for those not from Winnipeg: Young Street is in a bad area, and things like this happen in that area quite often. It would be a great area if there wasn't so much bloody crime)
Apparently someone I know is having a birthday party tonight, and lots of exes and enemies will be there, and I wasn't NOT invited, so..
A little drama spices life up. And I've got nothing else to do tonight, and its happening really close to my place, so even better.
