Well, I am in Philadelphia for work and I have been pleasantly surprised. I was lead to believe that the entire city is dirty and overweight but it turns out that the city is surprisingly clean for the most part and in parts almost kind of quaint for being as large and as old as it is. It also has an abundance of beautiful women. I've been walking everywhere and taking the subway and the people are surprisingly polite and kind. I've been living in Oregon for the last few years which is supposed to be really nice but the people in Philly are, on a whole, much nicer than Portlanders. I've heard more people say please, thank you, and excuse me here than I have heard all year in Portland. Overall I have to say the experience has been good and I will definitely come back if I get a chance. I can't find a good Mexican restaurant though which is a drag because I have wanted good Mexican all week.
I've been using the experience as inspiration for the songs my band has been working on and so far things are going well on that front too. I have to write lyrics for 4 songs this week and I have two done and two days left so I should be fine. The work I came here to do is going well too. Overall it has been a pretty decent week other than the fact that I miss my wife and really want to sleep in my own bed. I'm kind of down right now but optimistic which is a good thing to be. I hope everything is going well for you too, whoever you are.
