Fuck man, it turns out that I can't really sing very well. My band has been writing songs like crazy under the idea that I would be able to sing them. I've been practicing them and I was feeling pretty good but then I recorded myself and found out that I actually blow ass. I feel like this new band has written some legitimately good material and it has come relatively effortlessly. Now it looks like we may have to start auditioning people and possibly bring someone into the band that will fuck up the wonderful chemistry we have. My wife used to sing for my old band. She can sing like a motherfucker but she wasn't really inspired by the music and the vocal performances kind of showed it. I would love to do a project with her, but this band isn't going to be it. I suppose I could just keep practicing but I really don't want to be one of those bands that writes great songs but has a shit singer that jacks them up. Anyway, we decided on a band name and I am working on the website. I hope to have the website up in a few weeks and possibly some demo songs. I'll record the vocals and see if I can get some people to listen to them and confirm that I sing like a tool.
