My friend Lauren came down for awhile and we had gelato.
Question to asreal, burn_bomb and whoever else wants me to get a Mac...what about the extra protection plan thing? It would be an extra $288 via the Education discount but would take me through school and a bit after. Worth it or is the computer reliable enough I shouldn't need it?
I really wish my Dad was about to ask all this computer stuff to.
I think I'm going to watch Garden State if I can find the tape its on...

I'd go for the AppleCare if you can afford it... especially with a laptop. Usually their stuff is really reliable, and it comes with a 1-year plan anyway, but with a laptop if something breaks it'll cost a fortune to fix. I've already had a keyboard replaced for free, and the damage was completely my fault. Their support is awesome.
