I never had a girlfriend. That's not the same as I've never been laid, cause i have. I just don't believe anyone actually belongs to me. I do not use the phrase girlfriend even though in some peoples eyes some of my relatioships may appear that way. I never get sad because the people i have been intimate with never leave my life. They are still my friends. I don't get jealous and this does cause problems form time to time. Some people need to see you jealous for them to believe you love them. I do not believe true monogamy is possible for too long. After two years of any intimate relationship i will hear people saying they are 'Working' on their relationship. It shouldn't be work. I believe that love can last forever but sexual desire may not. I love and desire many people and i believe other people feel the same way. I believe in total honesty in every relationship i have. Therefore i do not believe in cheating and i respect my friends monogamous relationships even though in my mind i would love to jump their bones. I do not because that would be dishonest.
I just finished reading "Sex at Dawn" and it put many of the things i already believed into a clearer focus. I do believe that Monogamy is a Social Evolution but i do not think we as a race started out that way. I am going to finish my beer and think some more.
