I think I like being the loser, the geek, the cast-out..


I have realized that it is extremely difficult to maintain an artistic sense, all while nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit. Seriously. Once an artist begins to find a practical application for their art, it begins to transform into a 'catering' medium. It pleases the masses, allows them to indulge. This observation came after my boss told me last week, in reference to what I THOUGHT was a design job, that "the minute you look at what you do as art, it is then (index finger erect) that you will fail here" Whaaaaa? Ok, fine, then obviously, you have lost my interest. Case closed.

See, now this is why I cannot be a writer. Crazy, I am sure you are thinking. However, I come up with these somewhat intelligent intros and then lose them like the dust particles that I try to catch in my free time falling through the atmosphere.It's a shame, really. I had hoped so hard that I'd get there, and here I am almost 24, no career path, no clear idea of where I want to go, and no degree. Help!
