The removal company is booked and they are coming to collect all of our stuff at 9:00 am Friday morning to put everything we own barr a couple of suitcases of clothes into storage. We still have no idea when we can move into our new house other than 'the end of November at the latest'. We were supposed to exchange and complete on this house on Friday but because Shoosmiths are the most fucking incompetent fuckers on the planet we are not. They have just phoned to tell me they are missing 5, 5 count 'em! documents relating to this house (original planning permission, section 106 whatever that it, NHBC certificate, etc, etc) and now they will have to apply to get all of these documents from the relelvant local authorities. They have tried to imply that I should have had them. "oh yes, the original planning permission that Persimmon had for building the housing estate, of course, it's framed and on my wall". I didn't even buy the house from Persimmon but the last owner - why would I have that? And, if they did presume I had documents like this then why have they waited for the 11th hour to ask for them? They could have checked with me what documents I had 2 1/2 months ago when I instructed them to sell the house? If I lose my buyer I think I have grounds for murder.

Anyways I am going to camp out in my house with no stuff for a few days, as I still own it albeit with nothing in it, before embarking on a tour with my airbed of mine and spamtwo's relatives around the UK. I might turn it into a blog, if and when, I can get on t'internet as BT are switiching off my broadband Friday at 12:00 pm.
