pica_pica:
Hey CONGRATS on the grad!

that certainly rocks.

I'll see if I can remember to make it down this time, geez, I remember once, and actually go but it's the wrong weekend and there's some italian wedding going on instead....
Then I forget the right weekend.

The day I go to Nelson Park to the farmers Market, you are not there....

You are like the snuffaluffagus of artisans.

I haven't heard back from my friend yet who was selling them for me. I'm hoping it went good,,,,I hope at least one of my bags sold.

Congrats on your show!!! The pin ideas sound good. I need to start making something like that. Do you sell on any online websites?
coolheart:
I popped by the show in the afternoon. Sorry for not saying hi. *cop out time* The whole time I was there you seemed to be busy with customers or something adn there was probably a bit of a shyness factor as well. The metal smith who was next to you was very cool, I'm going to be commissioning a ring from her in the new year.

I feel for all of you, please don't give up. Resist and proteset the right wing, conservative, religious, poor bashing agenda of George W and friends.
Not much new. My teaching practicim went very well and I'll be back in January to do a 12 week stint. I'm sewing a lot as the winter/fall craft & design...

yum,,,i really like making ground turkey meat balls.i add lots of pesto sauce and parm chs and lots of garlic!! and an egg and some bread crumbs and salt pepper, mix and fry in a pan lightly to brown and seal.then i bake them in the oven the rest of the way..i usually use that pesto that comes in the plastic bag..thats by olivari?

now if i make beef ones.i put mushroom(lots!!) and parm chs, bread crumbs, egg, salt pep, garlic, onion,,and my secret part is adding a little bit of beef ox powder.it really kicks the taste up.not too much tho!!.and i fry them first ,then bake!!!.

Canada looks mighty nice right now.

And I love hot chocolate with marshmellows in the winter...there's nothing better.
thrashead:
Please tell everybody in Canada that half this country is truly sorry (in more ways then one) about the election. eeek

As usual not much is new. I'm still feeling rather icky with a never ending cold, migraine headaches and general exhaustion. I can't figure out why I'm so tired as I'm not the sort of person to be tired. I'm usually full of never ending energy.
I continue to jump through the hoops set out by UBC Faculty of Education. I have to take such...

Yeah, the Cramps kicked a giant hole in the sky - that's how good it was. I'm forever in love w/ Poison Ivy:

*sigh* love love love love love love

PS - Sorry you're not feeling well. My students have passed around the plague over here and all the faculty (including me) is miserable. *cough* *cough* *hack* I feel your pain.

Not much new. I'm so broke right now. Not having money is the thing I hate most about being a student. It's killing my social life as I can't afford to go out as often as I usually like to.
It was Thanksgiving this past weekend. I did a roast chicken dinner on Saturday with friends and I even baked an apple pie with these...

I'll be at the West End Farmers Market tomorrow, Saturday October 2, from 9:30am til 2:20pm. Nancy Esworthy will be there as well with her fabulous jewelery.
The market is located in Vancouver at Nelson Park, Nelson St between Thurlow & Bute.
The fresh produce is amazing this time of year so come by & support local farmers, artists and craftspeople and watch my stall...

Okay what's your schedule on Thursday?
I'm free until 2pm.
Must see you soon.

It tasted fine - but would have been better with gin, I think. Next time there will be less water and I'll use those fun little marshmallows. tongue

Not much new. Lots of school work, not at all difficult but lots of work. I was also accepted for the Urban Artists show at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Novemeber. I did that show last year & made a few dollars so hopefully this year will be just as good.

Whats with all the Vancouver guys in their 30's who only want to date girls who are in their early 20's??
It seems like if you're female, close to or over 30, have a decent job and an education that you become undesirable in the dating pool. Why is that?

Damn...you got chased by police? That is very punk rock!!! You definately had a cooler night then I did!! smile

I've never been to Canada but I have been told by other people that those two cities are very Canadian-like. I have not been to Seattle yet, but I do love Portland because it is so different then every other city I've been to. Everyone is nice, they're all about community, and it has such a close feel, like everyone seems to know everyone, even if they don't.
Did that make sense? I'm hoping Benadryl will force me to go to sleep at a reasonable time....so i'm a bit out of it.
pica_pica:
yay railway!

sucks that it's on a sunday though, "a school night." I do believe I wanna go down early enough though, to perhaps grab that long table against the wall the the left of the stage?

I went to see the Pixies last night. Except I didn't actually get to see them, due to all the taller than me people. They did sound amazing though!
I also spent $500 on text books today. I will probably photocopy the 3 most expensive books & then return them to the bookstore. Yes I know that's evil, but I'm a broke student!
Care to...
