Just finished meeting up with my erstwhile vocalist (he's actually an awesome guy) to give him the low-down on our future and recording some stuff for us to shape, as well as being occasionally busy with some 'mindcinema' tracks for a separate project. This year has been one of a lot of sudden tragedy in situations, death etc. Closing out 2013 will be no less a picnic. Lots of sound tinkering and practice, then a break to gain sanity and a few pounds (more than earned it).
The club I've worked in since 2007 is closing it's doors before the end of the first week in Jan. I knew it was just a matter of 'when' like, a year and a half ago. Don't care, won't miss the owner either. In fact, he is responsible for his own mess, and we the staff are just the final batch of victims. So Holidays with the family, back to the two final nights of a torturous work existence then all about the new label. New Year and a bit more clarity are totally what I need.
