I just managed to get a hold of all their videos. On top of being musically genius, they also have some really great videos. Except for maybe "Hotel Yorba", they don't do anything vanilla flavored.

Summer os 1993 Repro's home life favored him moving in with me for the summer and all we did was listen to guyville and ska and eat fried chicken and run people over on AOHell. People were like "Hey, what's this internet thing. BLAM!!!! Ouch, someone just ripped me a new asshole, Mary!" 24 hour on-call weirdness, bands sleeping on the living room floor, and endless endless "I flew in to Chicago at night"

pogues and drunken poets go down well together. dylan thomas=quite fun...although i admittedly have issues with poetry...which unfortunately my drunken roommate was tapping on...such as how i can't stand sylvia plath and i wrote an essay in tenth grade on her stylistic flaws...uuuuuggghhhh. but try explaining this to a drunk overly cheery roommate while you yourself are a bit drunk and grouchily half swearing in russian at her...

I went to karaoke night on Saturday at the Greek Theatre and ended up having a couple of revelatory moments. It started out uninspiringly with the rockabilly-lite schtick of the Rev. Horton Heat. Umm.... I don't mind admitting that I like some mainstream movies... but of the 8 movies I mentioned, 5 would have no chance in hell of playing at a multiplex. I would say my taste in movies is much more indie and out-of-the-mainstream than my music taste. I guess it seems otherwise from this small snapshot of picks...
