celebrity week.
just got back from NYC. went to a Rolling Stone Youth Conference. Sex, Brands and Rock n Roll. interesting stuff. spoke to L.A. Reid, the president of Arista. heard Harvey Weinstein speak. he gave us some Miramax dvds. i got Chocolat and the Criterion Chasing Amy, so thats good. they brought in Demien Rice to play a few songs for us. he was really good. id like to see him play a full concert.
overall, the panels were engaging. seemed to be a lot of big ole muckediey-mucks present, and some of them even had valid points of view.
had a very good meal at The Mercer Kitchen. part of the restaurant is directly under the street, and as such, has no venting. it got a little hot. but the sweet pea soup and grilled swordfish helped make up for it. yum.
the lovely young woman who works with me loves the WWE. so when i met the bald wrastler Kurt Angle i had to get his autograph for her. yeah, i'm such a nice guy...you should see me finish...
at Penn Station, on the way back, i stood in line in front of Jaime Kennedy. he was totally dressed down and i wouldnt have recognized him if not for his Puma hat and old school Vans. im like, that dude knows how to dress! and then i took a closer look. he got annoyed (or confused) at the line and eventually left.
then thats what i didleave, but right before that, i had to get a couple of Krispy Kremes. heaven.
ah, new yorki barely knew you.
now, who wants to go back with me?
(keeping to the theme of this entry, i added a photo of me snuggling up to Neil Gaiman in my pics).
