This weekend was filled that summer humid/hot feeling that NYC is known for. But it really hasn't been like this the whole summer. Nice and hot... But everyone is sweaty. The subway smells awful special nowadays. But in a few months as we start to freeze again, I will look back fondly on these days.

Headed over to Chinatown to grab a bite with pals. Decent cheap food. Funny thing is while. Especially for someone who only had an apple for breakfast.

Then headed over to see Napoleon Dynamite...

You know, parts of it were funny. And I get the general feeling the filmmakers were going for. But it still felt disjointed. No real plot except "let's follow the weird guy". Enjoyed it to an extent, but at the same time I wished I would have gone to the Ramones documentary that was initially suggested.

Oh, the Republican National Convention protestors were in full gear. Union Square was filled with protestors and t-shirt vendors. And protestors who were t-shirt vendors. Funny how in America the greatest form of public expression seems to be a t-shirt.
