I just received this email from my best friends wife...

"Amy is out of surgery. The doctor said he feels confident that he got it all. The thing was the size of a basketball! He was able to save one ovary and her uterus. So that's the good news. No hot flashes just yet.
The mass was not a taratoma however, it was cancer. So, when Amy has recovered from her surgery, she will start chemotherapy.
I have not gotten in to see her yet. This is very scary, but she is in the best possible hands. While there are still a few tests to be run, the doctor is fairly certain that the treatment from here will be straight forward and manageable (whatever that means).
Again, I will let you know more as I know more. Thanks for everything."
I talked to Amy today, she sounded scared and wants me to be with her through her chemo. I am looking for tickets to New York city, I have no idea how long this move will be... stay in touch and hit me up if you are on the area. I appreciate any positive energy sent her way, wish me luck.

Haven't ever spoken to you but reading this made me just want to say something ,Having been through chemo and all the rest of the shite that comes with Cancer I can tell you the things that helped me through it most were my friends,the real close ones who I could tell everything to and trust and they are very special people indeed who carried the burden with me right up to my recovery, I wish you and your friend the best its a tough up hill struggle that CAN be overcome.
