I'm currently in Georgia. I'm visiting with my mom and dad. They've been divorced for over 10 years, and this is the first time I've been around them at the same time in 10 years. Weird. This is the first time I've seen my dad in well over four years. And he is now in a wheelchair and cannot do much for himself. That's extremely hard to get used to. I saw my long lost grandparents today, I hadn't seen them in... many many years. My grandma HATES my piercings, but thinks I'm a lovely girl anyway.

This whole trip has been so damn odd.

I'll be back in LA on the 25th. And while getting away is nice and all, I'm already anxious to get back home. Does that make me a bad person?


It's still weird to me that my dad cannot walk. Or feel his legs at all. He's also super really uber skinny. And he can't be out of his bed for long before he'd tired and in pain. In Wal-Mart we park in the handicapped spaces and he has to use those motorized buggy things.

I'm telling you, it's fucking weird, and impossible to get used to. It makes me sad to see him so.
