Thanks everyone for all the comments and votes on my last journal. It really helped, and now I know which photos to make my head shots

Today is my three year SG anniversary. My very first (and controversial) set went up May 3rd 2002. And about two weeks after that, I almost left the site for good. Those of you who have been around long enough will remember the infamous Roxy shot (that has since been deleted from the set). That one risque photo earned me tons of hate mail ("This is not that kind of site!!" "This is an ART site, not a PORN site!", etc etc) and some threads about how the site had gone downhill in letting my set be posted. Yes, even three years ago, people made the same complaints about SG. Those emails and threads really hurt me, and totally ruined my excitement in being accepted and having my set go live. But thanks to several really awesome people (mostly Nic and Spike), I decided to stick it out.

And I'm so glad I did.

I would've missed out on so much if I had let all the haters drive me away. I've met my best friends ever, moved several times, had some of the best times of my life, and fallen in love twice all thanks to this little website... I've seen it grow, I've seen myself grow through my journals and photosets, and no matter what anyone says, I wouldn't give it up for the world.

It's been an amazing three years, and I look forward to the next three!

Thank you Sean, Missy, s5, Olivia, and all of the other past and present staff members for all of your hard work. My life would not be the same without SG.
