I had every intention of coming here to write about my experience tonight, but first... I checked my mail when I got home, and had a letter from my mom. Above my name on the address was the unmistakable writing of my six year old brother: "Sissy" I open it up, and it's two drawings from him. One is a huge heart, colored all pink and red. On the paper he's written "To Sissy Love Zack". On the second sheet is a drawing of me and him. It's so fucking sweet. And the last time he saw me (fucking ages ago
), I had blue hair. So he still draws me with blue hair, which was several colors ago. So there's a drawing of a little boy with blonde hair and a huge smile, then a bigger girl, with blue hair and a huge smile. How fucking cute is that? I almost cried. I love that kid.
OK, onto tonight... I was able to reschedule my branding to get it done tonight. So I went in at 8:30, and was extremely nervous. I tried to calm down, deep breathing, talking things over with Troy (the guy who did it). But I couldn't calm down. While he was laying the stencil on in the piercing room, my vision went black, sounds became muted, and I had to sit down to keep from passing out. This is before he has done anything. Now, I've been pierced and tattooed below the belt, I've had six back surface piercings done, I've had surface piercings done on my chest, I have cutting done on my leg. I've also been pierced at least 35 times, and tattooed 5 times. Why in the world was I being such a pussy?! I think it was the newness of it. I didn't know what to expect, I had no idea what it would be like. And I expected the worse. The anticipation just killed me. I felt like a big baby. But Troy was super understanding. So after a tootsie pop and some water, I felt better. I got up on the table, and he started up the torch. He put the first piece of metal into the flame, until it was red-white hot. About 1900 degrees, to be exact. He positioned over me, and ... BRAND.
...
The sensation was AMAZING!!! The feeling... it's so hard to describe! It almost feels like a small electrical shock, except not really. It's not what you would imagine, it doesn't feel like you're being burned. And the pain is very quick, because all of the tissue and nerves are killed immediately. I loved it, a lot. After several strikes, I asked if I could look. It was beautiful. The seared flesh was actually very amazing looking. I laid back down with a smile on my face, and was like that the whole time. I never felt light headed, I never needed a break, I didn't make a sound. I was LOVING it. Every single strike felt amazing.
I was actually really disappointed when we were done. It was over so quick. I am definitely getting branded again in the future, I love it. I'll be sure to post pictures of this one as it heals. I already love it. It's beautiful.
Thanks to vikpreZ for going with me. He and Troy joked about the wisps of smoke raising from my damaged, seared flesh. I can't wait to see the small video clip taken, so I can see that. And we could all smell that certain odor of burning skin, burning tissue, burning everything.
Now I'm off to take off my pants and admire it some more.
