I just had the best weekend of my life. Seriously. It was fucking amazing.

It started out with going to the beach on Friday and spinning fire. This time we had music, and I've been practicing like crazy... so I those two combined made my performance much better than ones in the past. And everyone else was fucking awesome as well. There were so many people there (spinners and spectators). It was a blast biggrin

Later that night me and the boy finally sat down and really talked through some things. We're now better than we've ever been before. We both realized some personal issues, and both had breakthroughs. I feel liberated biggrin

Then on Saturday, Tony and I went over to the Capitol Hill Block Party. We caught the tail end of the Visqueen performance (who rock, by the way), then met up with some friends. Tony and I left for a little while around 5, and went and shopped at Toys in Babeland biggrin That was super fun! Then we went back to the block party around 7, and Jesse makes me sit down, because he has something to tell me. Then he says that not long after Tony and I left, he met KRIST NOVOSELIC. For those of you who don't know me very well, Nirvana is my favorite band ever. EVER. I have many imports, the box set, a scrap book, magazines sealed in plastic, etc. I still collect imports and whatnot to this day. So when Jesse told me that, I started shaking and got teary eyed. I knew I had to find him. So me, Jesse, and Tony took off... we searched the entire block party, everywhere... no Krist frown So we finally get back to where everyone else is hanging out still, and Tony and I went to get a drink... Jesse motions us back and says that Krist walked by the table five minutes ago. I had missed him *again*!! But we knew what direction he went, and we finally found him and watched him go into the parking lot from back stage... we ran around, and met him in the lot. I was so nervous, and tried to calm myself as we walked up to him. I introduced myself, and shook his hand and told him what a tremendous honor it was to meet him. I got choked up, and he pulled me in for a hug! He was super nice. Tony took a picture of me with him and he wanted to see it, but he didn't like the way he looked, and demanded a reshoot! He is such a fucking cool, down to earth guy. We stood around and talked to him for a little while, and I got him to sign the only paper I had -- a dollar bill. And as we were saying our goodbyes, he leaned in and gave me a KISS ON THE CHEEK! And I kissed his! I still can't believe I met Krist Novoselic. It's a highlight of my life. I'll post the picture soon biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Now -- I know there are going to be those of you who laugh because you think it's silly to care about Nirvana and/or Krist Novoselic, those of you who will scoff because you think Nirvana sucked... I encountered both of these reactions from friends on Saturday... but let me say -- I don't fucking care. I have loved this band since I was 12, and it's seriously an amazing thing to me to meet Krist. Just try to be happy for me, don't laugh at it.

So yeah ... that made my fucking year. Then Tony and I watched the Presidents show, which was pretty awesome smile I really like those guys! Then I finally went home and watched some TV and went to sleep.

On Sunday, Tony came over and we went out for lunch, then we went back to my place and played the Kama Sutra game we had bought at Toys in Babeland -- for three hours! That game rocks love After that, we went over to Chris and Kammi's for their 2 year anniversary and hung out with them and Bridget watching movies and eating food that Kammi made (which was yummy!!). It was a lot of fun smile

Whew!! What a long entry... but my weekend was just incredible! I love my Tiger, and I love Kammi, Bridget, and Chris lovekisslovekiss

I completely understand, I think that's wonderful that happened for you...he used to come into the video store that I worked in all the time back in the day and so did Kurt and Courtney...in fact, their late fees paid for a huge amount of new inventory-no joke! I saw them when they first started out...we would drive down to Oly and see them in basement clubs in Seattle...I think the cheapest we ever paid was...FREE! It was at someone's house party. We thought the best kept secret in the world was playing on stage in front of us in Seattle and wouldn't it be funny if they ever made it big, ha ha ha haa....
You know the rest of the story and how much that sucked. I felt just the same way you do when I met Bob Mould from Husker Du, nervous and everything and then we talked and he was so cool and nice.
Anyhoo, saw you also like to post on Bettina's board and if you get to meet her then I will be envious of YOU! You see what happens, I move away to NYC and all the really cool people come through town. Go back a few of her enteries to where she asks "your favorite show ever...go!" and I talk about seeing Nirvana for the last time.
