Today I got an internship at a vet clinic. My dream job. What I've wanted to do my entire life. Needed experience and college credit. The one catch? I cannot have ANY facial piercings. I start Monday morning.
I've already cried about it twice. I know that may seem silly, but this is ME. My piercings are literally a part of me and a part of who I am. I've had the lip and eyebrow piercings since I was 18 - my entire adult life. And I've had the nose piercings for about three years now. I can't stand the thought of losing them, especially the lip rings - they're my signature. They're ME!
Ugh. But you gotta sacrafice for your dream job, right? I can't turn down this opportunity.
It's going to be so god damn weird to look at myself in the mirror - I won't know me. And it's going to be so fucking weird to not feel and play with my lip rings.
