I know I haven't responded to anyone from my last journal... but several of you wanted to know how things are going now, so I thought I would update. Apparently the shit that was going on that week wasn't enough.
On Friday afternoon, I got into a car accident. I'm OK, so no worries there. I was driving straight, and as I went through a light that had just turned yellow, some asshole turned left on the yellow from the other lanes and smashed right into me. Luckily, I never saw it coming so I didn't have time to tense up. But my car is smashed, at least $4000 of damage just from the initial inspection, two weeks of a rental car that I have to pay for up front, not to mention my deductible, and just a shit load of a hassle. That was a bad day.
And I ended up paying October rent twice. My first rent check was returned because the bank decided to not credit my account with my money for a few days... so I give them a money order. Then, a couple of days later, they redeposit my rent check!! So I called today to get half of my double payment back, and I'm told they can't do that. It's just going to go on credit and carry over to next month! So when I expressed annoyance over the fact that I can't pay some bills now, due to no error of my own, the woman says "Well then you shouldn't have bounced that check in the first place." I told her that it was a bank error, so she says it's the bank's fault, not theirs. WRONG! If you receive a money order for the rent, you shouldn't ALSO cash the check that was already returned! I'm so frustrated with them. So I'm short over $600 this month, and yeah it'll carry over, but when I pick up my car in a week in a half I'm going to need at least $800ish!!
Anyway. That's how life's treating me. I wish it would lay off already.
