Christmas 06 is now in the past tense. I'm heading back to work tommorow, ok who am I kidding I'll be back today and I feel rested for the first time in 6 months. This has been the first christmas I spent outside the gold coin laden stockings of my family, but it was enjoyed with wine loving new yorkers; how can you beat that!? I've been to the home of Washington Irving and seen his grave in Sleepy Hollow. I was named "King Taylor", the king of twelfth night by the King of Misrule. (anybody ever done that one?). Spent Christmas eve with Feliz Navidad playing on repeat while drinking Margarita after delicious Margarita. And possibly topped it all off with Trashcan Turkey on Christmas day, followed by excessive wine drinking and wearing Victorian face masks while being rediculous. It was all in all a very good holiday.
I also did take in some of the city while I was there. I visited the Met museum of Art, and the Natural History museum. I strongly recommend the latter for anyone interested in Astronomy. I heard the craziest thing from a woman while I was there. We were about to go into this huge sphere where they show the origin of the cosmos and this little girl no more than five years old asked her mom "What is the Big Bang?" with a reply of "It's make believe honey, god made everything." Why the hell was this woman in the museum of Natural history in the first place!? Anyway, I'm a bit jaded I suppose.
