I just found out last night that my boyfriend is in the process of getting okayed to donate his kidney to someone. Not only did I take this news as completely random, it just made me realize even more how much I love him for all of who he is.

He began by asking me while we were driving (destination unknown) if I would ever donate a kidney to someone. To which, I answered yes (thank God, right?) and said that I didnt really know much about it but Im sure that whatever I learned wouldnt change me wanted to donate a kidney for someone. And we sort of chatted back and forth about it for a while about what he knew you cant do with only one kidney and blood types and so on. Then, mid-converstion, out of nowhere, he says,

Oh I found this guy online that is looking for a kidney. I wrote him an email telling him that I have tattoos and I had cancer as a child but Im completely recovered, but if that doesnt disqualify me, Id go find out my blood type to see if were a match.

If that isnt a WTF moment, I dont know what is. I mean, Im so proud to know that my boyfriend would do something like that for a complete stranger, but also, I almost dont want him to! Im just really worried about something going wrong, especially since he had Leukemia as a child. I would be devastated if something happened to him.

I just was so shocked, that I had to share. It really makes you think, doesnt it?
