wow i was looking in my desktop yesterday at the poetry i still wrote in High school, and couldn't believe how long it's been. I wrote this when i had just turned 18, almost three years ago...


Eighteen

Eighteen is a very significant number...
Eighteen young teens marching on
Eighteen mean New York City streets
Eighteen Vote holders who can turn the world over.
Eighteen young minds spitting
Eighteen hot rhymes while
Eighteen politicians spread
Eighteen colossal lies,
That's right
Eighteen politicians talkin' smack
while eighteen bombs smoke
Eighteen young soldiers who die in Iraq
Eighteen hopeful families loose
Eighteen irreplaceable lives
And Bush as out president
Slays Eighteen more lives
Damn.
And this is our President?
Protecting who's rights?
Eighteen things happen in
just four years
And already,
Our economy's crumbling?
Hn, that's a know fact
And Bush is having
Eighteen course meals
Sitting on his fat texas hick ass while
Eighteen more New York City schools get shut down
and eighteen groups of minorities
get pushed to the ground
This can't happen again
And if theses Eighteen young people
want to keep hope alive
Eighteen year old vote holders,
You can turn the world over
Bring our troops back home from Iraq
Get this nation back on track
Help save all nations
From Bush's foolish attacks.
