It's surreal to think, while my neighborhood is fine, it is literally a disaster area a few short miles away. I am so lucky to live in a more elevated area, and I don't think Wateree dam has broken yet, though the river is still flooding a little. To all my SC friends, please stay safe, and stay off the roads unless you need to get to higher ground! I'm so worried about my Columbia homies :( Six people have died so far, and I think most if not all of those deaths were people trapped in their cars driving through water.
For now, I'm staying warm with a bottle of whiskey and my cat. I hope all my SC friends stay safe!

@eminence it is really scary! I feel so bad, I've got friends in Columbia who have lost everything, like their houses are totally under water. I just don't want anyone trying to drive in this mess.
