Well, this camera is a BIG disappointment... Here's the things that struck me shortly after playing with the camera for awhile...

1) The viewfinder is the only way to see a LIVE image... The LCD screen is only there to show you what settings you are on in the shooting mode... This particularly sucks because you can't see what changes you are making to the image when you modify exposure, ISO, etc... The only alhpa/numeric info is provided at the bottom of the viewfinder so if you don't know your exposures or how changing them will alter the picture you will need to toy around a bit to get the shot you want while using the "Play Back" mode religiously.. NOW, I thought this was odd so I double checked this on a Photography forum and this IS a common lack of feature with DSLR cameras, I just didn't know this because I am, willing to admit, ignorant.

Either way, I will need to deal with this because this will help me advance my skills.. I suck at lighting so I will have no choice but to get better at manipulating the camera to get the right exposure and photo saturation... As one of the peeps on the forum said, " What's the point in getting a high performance vehicle if it is an automatic transmission?" Good point my friend, good point... Anyone willing in giving me a crash course in Exposure, etc?? *LOL*

Well, here's some shots I took yesterday while playing with it for a little over an hour... Depending on your screen/monitor, some may come out darker or even more color drained then what I see.

Camera Mode: Automatic

Sky is great, trees are over exposed... On such a perfect day, this should not have happened.. The sun was behind me so the over exposure is confusing as to WHY it occured..

Everything is under-exposed.. Again, this is unexplainable - this should never have came out this way...

Camera Mode: Manual

These are some shots taken at sunset, I did my best to play with the settings to get the right exposure but even the Play Back option doesn't present you with an accurate enough image to determine how dark or light it REALLY is...

Action Shot...

Still shots...

Ultimately, I gotta get this camera down IMMEDIATELY.. I have my first ever wedding shoot in February and it's going to be at night with really poor lighting! eeek Soooo, any suggestions are appreciated!

Also, I have pink eye right now that my little sister so graciously gave to me so I am wearing my really crummy glasses that are too weak... SOOOOo, if there are any typos or spelling errors - please forgive me, I am struggling to see the screen! frown

I now leave you with two shots from my little Sony [correction]Cybershot 7mgpxl...
Note: My Sony F828 just killed the pictures on Auto mode so they weren't even correctable in Photoshop!

My favorite tree on my way to work...

Well it's still clear, my face seems to be the only part that likes being off of Accutane. My chest/back/shoulders have returned to being a royal fuckin' mess.

They haven't, they only saw me once while on Accutane and put back my checkup from October to December. I'm expecting them to want me to go back onto another 6 month treatment but like hell am I going to take it again. They really don't have a grip on things...when I saw them mid-treatment (~July) they said I should've been seen every month, they then gave me my next appointment...in October!

I'm going to prompt for less invasive treatment when I see them next.
