So, how do you be "complimentative" to a possible future employer without looking like a kiss ass? I think I'm having trouble finding that fine line that exists between the two..

I went to my second interview for a highly complex clerical position at a semi-locate "industrial" company.. The staff there seems great and the job looks like it is right down my alley.. I'm doing my best to NOT get my hopes up, but it's soooo hard when you have something so good just a finger tip away - ugh!! Besides that, I'm fed up with my current job.. They always proclaim that it is a "team" environment and that we should "work together" but everybody is really out for themselves unless it is somehow beneficial for them and I'm already tired of it! *sigh* I just know that if I'm already sick of it in three months, then I need to leave post haste.

So, how was everyone's labor day ? Anyone get wasted and wake up next to someone they didn't know the name of? C'mon, I have to live vicariously through you guys since I can't be bad anymore *pouts* heh.

-------------------- EDIT -----------------

I FINALLY got my clear industrial bar! Only took two months to get it replaced when the wrong item was sent.. that's not THAT bad, right??? puke

A good employer/manager will always be able to spot those members of a team which are good and put in the most work and do the best job. Unfortunalty there are many bad employers/managers who don't have a clue and will reward those people they like the most and in such situations there's not much you can really do other than stick it out or find a new job.

whoops, my mistake. In which case I would say if you work hard, make yourself useful and do a tiny bit of sucking up then you should be ok.
