Ok, I've been REALLY busy having to prepare for an interview for a job that a lot of people are probably applying for because of the pay tongue

As far as a fantasy goes for me, I'm kind of a "secret" exihibitionist.. I like public places, but no people NEAR by.. I've done the movie theatres, back of cars along the road, out in the open by some train tracks, and in the back of a pick up at some populated camp grounds... So I still desire to do "it" on the beach, a plane, and maybe a train *shrugs* I don't know if it'll ever happen though whatever

DEFINITION
Under direction of the Superintendent/designee, to serve as a confidential secretary and administrative assistant relieving the Superintendent of administrative and clerical detail; to perform highly complex, technical, and confidential secretarial and administrative clerical functions; and to do other related work as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Personnel in this job classification may perform any combination of the essential duties shown below. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but is intended to accurately reflect the principle job elements.

Performs independent, advanced technical and complex secretarial duties requiring independent judgment; plan, organize and coordinate office activities and communications.
Coordinates the secretarial, clerical, and administrative follow-up activities required by the governing board, including conference and travel arrangements, providing operational information, and the preparation of correspondence and special reports.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the preparation, printing, and distribution of governing board agenda and related materials, notices, bulletins, and other communicative documents.
Attends board meetings and takes minutes and prepares a transcription draft for superintendent review and editing.
Performs follow-up functions to ensure a timely response to governing board and superintendent special report and information requests.
Prepares and maintains the official record of the governing board meeting minutes.
Assists in the revision, updating, and maintenance of the governing board policies and regulations.
May take and transcribe dictation pertaining to correspondence, memoranda, reports, and a variety of other subject matter which may be sensitive, privileged, and highly confidential.
May interpret policies, operational regulations, and procedures to personnel and the community.
Independently composes correspondence for the superintendents review.
Plans, organizes, establishes, and maintains a complex data management, storage, and retrieval systems.
Arrange and prepare interdistrict agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
Procedures, methods, strategies, and techniques pertaining to the operation of this office;
Principles, goals, and objectives of public education;
Current office practices, trends, and procedures, and data management, storage and retrieval systems;
English usage, spelling, grammar, and manuscript and report formatting;
Effective and efficient communication techniques, strategies, and procedures;
Standard office machines and equipment, including computers and applicable software.

Ability to:
Coordinate, direct, and expedite the production of a high volume of documents and materials;
Effectively and efficiently perform highly responsible clerical, secretarial, and administrative assistant functions;
Expeditiously abstract, compile, and prepare comprehensive reports;
Communicate effectively in oral and written form;
Establish and maintain a complex data management, storage, and retrieval system;
Understand and carry out oral and written directions;
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with others and maintain a calm and tactful manner;
Effectively handle a number of concurrent activities;
Type or keyboard at a rate of 75 words per minute (typing certificate required).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.

Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far visual acuity, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a person with a disability to perform the essential functions of the job.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be:

Experience:
Three years of responsible secretarial or related experience.

Education:
Twelfth grade diploma or the equivalent. Coursework or training in pubic administration, organizational management, or public relations preferred.

License Requirement: A valid California Motor Vehicle Operators License and adequate insurance coverage on personal vehicle.

Certificate Requirement: Keyboarding/typing certificate.

Conditions of Employment: Insurability by the districts liability carrier. Employment contingent upon fingerprint and background clearance, and proof of a recent negative tuberculosis test result.
