Yeah.

So I found someone the other day that I missed. It has been like 4 years or more since we have talked. We had been best friends, but didn't part on the best of terms. I sent her an e-mail to say "hey" (and hoped she would maybe want to try and hang again). She took something wrong in an entry of mine...now we are off on the wrong foot again.

"First one ever...

...not first on the list, pretty one.

Miss you.

Please let us try again; the friendship is once in a lifetime. I don't want to loose a second stab at it over a misread..."

Hello. I wish you luck with that. . .I read your journal entry and can totally relate. I've loved and lost too many a friend. I was thinking/ reminescing and realized, rather horrified, that I no longer retained a singly friendship from youth, save one. Although, my oldest friend, Jackie, and I have known one another since kindergarten. Her mother forbid her from 'playing' with me because I was too bossy. We met up in 6th grade, again, and then sorta went our separate ways in highschool. She went on to our public highschool and I was sent to a Catholic highschool. We would loose one another for awhile but always find our way back together again. Three years in a row we ended up seeing one another at our state fair (which is nearly impossible to find someone even when you ARE looking for one another) and that'd be the only interaction until the following year. It was super surreal feeling; like we were, unconsciously, supposed to rendezvous. So- I hope that your friend is as understanding and introspective as you sound and- if she is- you two should be just fine. kiss
