there are a few things that i have to talk about and i guess this is as good a place as any.

i just came from the funeral for my friend and teacher, Dan Kiacz. i say friend in a loose sense, because i didn't know him as well as i would have hoped. i thought i would have much longer to get to know him, but i guess that's the way life goes.

in a somewhat related story, i didn't get the job i was hoping for this summer, which is kind of connected to Dan. i don't really know more than a few of you (you know who you are) but i just want to tell you that this mortal existence is way too short to have any sort of bad time. we are only here for a glimmer of an instant and i want one of you in particular ( you know who you are) to realize that i do love you and that things will always work out ok.

i wish you all luck in your endeavors. take the time to cherish everything around you and don't ever take anything for granted. relish in the small pleasures of life. savour every detail that you are able.
