fuck.
all of the other networks are poisoned, cross contaminated, both parties are too represented, and anyway, i don't love exposure in those places that already assume to know me, assume they can, assume they don't want to. too much social incest. it's all right. there are six or seven of us, maybe eight, total, spread out in different combinations a trillion times over maybe...

nostradamus was a futurist, not a magician.
the shaman is always the least religious man in the village. he is surrounded by mystics, men who hold half-truths close to heart, who see the world as a nearly-completed puzzle pocked with missing pieces here and there, that the picture could be complete with the simple acquesition of more knowledge to fill those gaps. Men who do...

I don't like Nostradamus, probably because I don't like thinking about the end of the world and when people discuss him they are ultimately discussing the end of the world.

hello, i like your hair. you remind me of a person i like, want to b friends? ^_^*
There's nothing scarier to me than crossing over on salvia except maybe death, surgery, or flying. it seems like a ridiculous idea to cross over again. from what i've read, it takes a lot of build up to ever hope to maintaining some sort of control over the experience.
so it's scary. as hell.
it's also kind of life changing.

Yeah SG is nothing like Facebook, which I must admit I kind of like.
You've read Cicero. That's cool. I haven't read Cicero since high school when I took Latin so I'll be damned if I remember anything.
I have never tried salvia though people I knew at one time used to talk about it. I have had life altering experience on mind altering substances though that I am convinced changed me forever though.

sometimes you're faced with overwhelming darkness. when the obscure suffering that consumes this world pierces the thick and illusory middle-class bubble of plenty, all the normal western excuses crumble under the weight of our pure animal natures. our interactions as great apes often seem to prove that culture is more or less an accident, and a happy one if you're at the top of the...

So there is a town called Normal, Illinois? I thought it was a made up place in the book I am reading right now. Whoa.
There were barbarians at the gates of Rome for years before they were finally able to get in and sack the city. I sometimes wonder what barbarians await us outside our gates.

yeah, it's a real place all right. i'm pretty sure some object of ancient power must be hidden here by a secret organization of utmost darkness. it's got some quirks... it's fine for the midwest, but... it's still the midwest.
cicero suggested that the true barbarians were already inside the gates, in the halls of power, actively working to destroy society for their own ends. of course, cicero was kind of a dick, but there's a "suburb" of chicago named after him that's grimy as fuck, so there's that.
danka fer the welcomes and friendings. i'll try to say more interesting things, or, in lieu of that, just bitch and moan about the state of the universe. it's kind of what i do.

I know there have only been a few, but I thoroughly enjoy reading your journals.
