Ross : The Tales of Doing Nothing Part 1
As we covered in the previous entry im back home now.
Yesterday was probably my most eventful day since returning home. What did i do? well i'll tell you...
I had chips from a chip shop.
I played 2 games of bowling (i'm shit these days, i was better when i was 13)
I had a pint of Jennings Old Smoothy and 5 games of pool.
I went home to bed.
The day before i headed out with some friends to go to a fair?? random yes? I gave my friend allan a phone call and he said he was going to the fair. Sure why not i say.. i've nothing else to do.
So me, allan and his gf vicky head to a completely random destination. Aparently we're picking up a work colleague of Allans and his 2 kids? News to me..
So we go to this guys house, lets just say his kitchen made mine look clean... very clean.
(This is my kitchen before we cleaned it when i left on saturday.. bear in mind i gave it a tidy before the family showed up, i washed up alot of stuff and cleaned the floor a little)
We all get in the car and head to 1 of 2 fairs.. neither of which are on. Then we go to McDonalds to cheer the kids up then i go home. What a pointless and random journey that was for me... hang out with a guy i dont know and his 2 kids, see his horrible house. Meet Allans gf for the first time (they've only just started dating since i last visited home) and drive around for a while.
Tomorrow i have 2 job interviews, now i ask you this... would you give this man a job? or even the time in a street?
I doubt i would. I need a haircut and still havent gotten round to it, i have however had a shave since then.
That photo for those of you interested was taken after about 3 hours sleep and several hours of cleaning my flat and packing... cant say im looking my best, not that my best is much to brag about anyway.
Fingers crossed i might get hired and have some money coming in, i'm extremely broke and have many bills to pay. Fantastic.
Oh yeah i mowed the lawn and cooked a Chicken Jalfrezi Curry for the family today too.
I think i'm going to start going bowling weekly, my finest moment this week when we played was turning to my friend Sean and pronouncing "This ones for you" before moving to the isle bowling the ball whilst sliding on my knee and getting a strike. I seem to have the fluke that if i ever say things like that (which i rarely do) they actually work.
Possibly with practice i might get good at bowling, it is quite the fun game. The place we go however is a wreck, i dont think its had any work done on it since i started going there about a decade ago. Things regularly break in there. Thankfully it means its always about half empty.
I think that should do for now, i just felt like updating with some random banter.
Highlight of the past few days, Sitting by a river and watching the sunset. Havent been able to do that for a long time and it was nice.
