Well it's Friday afternoon at about 3pm. I went to the dentist this morning & God I never want to go through that again. Ever. That was probably the worst hour of my entire life. I was given anesthesia & it was not enough. I kept feeling the dr drilling & trying to get the old filling out. She was starting to get frusterated with me. But what the hell am I suppose to do if I feel the damn pain?? Suck it up. Well I usually can do that but she was making me jump. Anyway that is all finally done. Just gotta go back & get a crown as soon as it's approved by my insurance. But my jaw is sore as hell right now.
I do on the other hand have a pretty cool story to tell. My partner & I got sent for an ob patient in labor on Wednesday night. Now we usually dont go lights & sirens unless we're told so. Or unless I feel it is necessary. In this case they call a hotline number that is directed towards this particular hospital. They get in touch with us & let us know about these ob patients. So we pass by the house cause it was on a one way street & there was this firetruck there. So I said joking around "Hey they might be there for our patient"
Sure enough it was & once we pulled up they're like are you here for so & so. The fireman told us "Well your patient is there with the baby."
Yup the lady was getting in the car to go to the hospital & ended up having the baby in the car. When we got out to help the city paramedics the fireman was about to cut the cord. We ended up giving them a hand with the baby boy & mom. The baby was born ok & was in good condition along with mom.
No offense but I am glad we didn't get there before. Cause trying to deliver a baby in the ambulance is quite difficult to do. Plus that is the one thing that makes me nervous & gets me flusttered. Why you ask?
Well even though I did clinicals while in school. I never actually got a chance to see a baby being delivered. The closest I've come to that is watching TLC. So with reason I am nervous, if I ever get a woman who is really close to giving birth.
So everyone have a good weekend. I hope to be in better condition for the parade on Sunday. I am really looking forwad to it.
