Well well, weather is crappy again. I dont mind it really but ugh this weather makes me just want to lounge around all day & do nothing. I'm off tonight & a friend of mine is heading back from Florida. So I'll be meeting up with him later on for a few brewski's. I took my cousin this morning to go get her drivers liscense & well she failed the driving test by 1 point. She was a bit upset & swears the whole world is out to get her. Mind you she is due in court tomorrow for a hit & run & absolutely needs to show up with a valid drivers liscense or she'll spend a few days in the BIG house. She was all nervous & what not. I was nervous cause she was gonna be driving my baby. I dont usually let anybody drive my truck. So I was happy when she came back in my truck in one piece. Anyway she passed the second time around, thank god.
So the other day we got a call to go get a little old lady who fell off of her bed. Well some of these little old ladies can put up a hell of a fight. She was so adamant about not going to the hospital. Her niece had actually called us & was worried about her aunt being on the floor. This little old lady was confused hadn't been officially diagnosed with dementia quite yet. So technically she couldn't make a sound decision for herself. Long story short it took us about 45 minutes to get her out. We tried talking to her, that didn't work. She was actually swinging at my partner & I. My partner was getting upset with this lady. Now he had every reason to if she was in all her senses. Since she wasnt you can't get upset with her. He was actually starting to get on my nerves, so I told him stop arguing with her cause you're not going to get anywhere. I mean really what's the point? We eventually got her out & well she wasn't too happy about it. Started cussing us out & telling her niece I told you not to call them. I felt bad but she did need to go. I've actually had a 100 y/o lady swing at me before. I'm telling ya some of these people still got some fight in them. Not to mention that they are very set in their ways.
So Halloween is on Sunday & I hope I'm off so I can go out & celebrate. Any suggestions?? I was thinking about heading down to Joliet to go to Statesville Haunted House. Never been there but been wanting to check it out for a while now. I think it's an actual old prison that they turned into a haunted house. You know there's gotta be some scary shit in there.
We shall see what happens in the next few days.

What do you do exactly? Older people are definately set in there ways. They think hospitals are where you go to die and nothing more than that. They think we all want to kill them, not help them. It would be funny to see an old lady take a swing but not funny to be hit I expect.
