Crazy, crazy week. Been busy running around doing errands & what not. Can't believe it's Saturday already. This week seemed to fly by soo quick.
For those of you who enjoy my work stories. I have a few. I have been traumatized. Not in a good way either. Got sent to this lady's house for the "bleeding from the surgical wound." So my partner & I show up & ask what was wrong. This lady had a mass by her crotch & stitches popped out. There was some bleeding. She couldn't estimate how much or how big the wound was. Sooo, I being the girl had to go into the bedroom with her to see what we had. She was a big lady with a lot of loose skin. She plops herself on the bed & spreads her legs to show me. It was like a 3 inch would that wasn't bleeding anymore. Right along side her crotch & it was pink.
My stomach made a few knots. I was ready to puke at that moment. It was sooo fucking gross & disgusting as hell. Turns out she's always at the hospital looking for pain meds. Demerol to be exact. I haven't been the same.
We had this 8 month old baby boy. Mom took baby to the hospital cause he had a fever. On the x-rays it showed that he somehow swallowed a coin. Mom wasn't even aware of this at all. How can an 8 month old swallow a coin? I don't know, mom didn't seem to concerned. Some parents I tell you.
I also had this 45 y/o female who was having a serious heart attack. We took her to the hospital for an emergency cardiac catherization. It's basically a procedure to see if there's any blockage in the arteries. They go in through the thigh up to the heart. Some type of dye ( I think) is flushed through to see the damage if any. We got a chance to check out this procedure while it was being done. Really cool to watch.
Weather seems to be getting nicer here. It's great, can't wait for 60's & 70's weather. Tomorrow is the season home opener for the sox. It's going to be awesome. Unfortunately I didn't get any tickets. I will be watching the game.
