I used to work at a medical school (a rather large one actually, the largest in the University of Texas system) in the Fungus Testing Laboratory. I was a lab tech and dealt with all kinds of icky, deadly moulds and yeasts. Being a hypochondriac did not tide well with this job, especially considering that half of the stuff I handled was not only lethal, but 100% incurable if contracted. The job was, however, very interesting. I went in as a temp from an agency with only paramedical training, and ended up being hired as a lab tech. I learned more during my time there about scary medical stuff than throughout the whole of my life before or after. All and all, I would highly recommend the medicle feild for anyone whose interested in learning stuff they'd never dream existed...
