Today was my very first day at my new (co-op) job.
It's always hard to judge something after such a short time, but so far it's great.

Sure, my computer is a dinosaur, and I'm pretty much expected to be a whiz with Cold Fusion and SQL/Oracle by the end of the week (both of which I know nothing). There's a shitload of work to be done, and obviously this is going to be an intense 4 months. But, the work environment is nice, my team is great, the hours are flexible, and they give me aaaall the free coffee I want. The pay is really nice too.

I'm amazed how well my team and I, as *students*, are respected and treated. Our requests for tech support, for example, are met as soon as possible, with the same priority as any other employee.

My team is really good - one chick is a college student, so already possesses useful knowledge, haha. She's friendly and fun, ie, not like 90% of comp sci students. The other guy is a University student like me, so also knows nothing of practical value.

I get my very own badge/key, computer, desk, work area, phone number, supplies, books... yes, the little things make me happy, shut the hell up.

One more exam. Don't want to study. Don't want to... really... must.. kill.. statistics...
