I finished Spaceland by Rudy Rucker awhile ago... excellent fun fiction for math geeks. 
The plot follows a guy and his adventures in the fourth dimension... all the characters are super hip techie geeks (if that makes sense - yanno, dot commers and all that). Yes yes, the great characters was one of my favourite things about Spaceland... but by far the BEST is the description of the fourth dimension. I've read a lot about this, and so many (non-fiction) books about the topic are written by physicists for physicists. Not very useful for people with no background. Anyway, Spaceland really gives you a good understanding of what the fourth dimension is, while keeping things simple and being a fun, almost silly story. It's fiction, yes, but the author is a mathmatician/physicist and he stays true to all the basic concepts. I wish I'd read this as an intro before cracking open the fancy physics texts. So, go read it!
In other news (haha)... I went to a dinner party this weekend, theme being African. I made the most awesome dish ever. It was:
1 jar pasta sauce (Ragu)
1 big handful ground melon seeds
a few pinches ground super hot chili peppers
(cook med heat, stirring constantly, 20 mins)
2 bags spinach, mix in, cook till soft,
That's IT. A friend of mine from Nigeria told me about it. Though I doubt in Nigeria she used Ragu.
It was so good. MM! That's it, from now on I'm African. I mean, what do I get being Canadian.. poutine?! 
So that was my weekend - tons of delicious African food, beer++, (work, a little homework, yea yea), and anime with hentai tendancies. Yum to all. (work excluded)
Ps. We in Canada will not be joining you crazy Americans and British in the war just yet. There, there's a reason I'm happy to be Canadian. Makes the boring food worth it, and then some.
