Such problems sleeping lately. I don't know why... most of the time my sleep problems are stress related, but I'm pretty unstressed right now.. (give it a few weeks. wink )

It gets interesting though. Sleep deprivation makes me feel almost high. Sometimes I'm surprisingly productive. I went into a cleaning frenzy at 5am this morning - normally, I'd be comatose that early, hah.

Classes started today. One did, anyway - discrete math. Sounds fascinating.. the prof opened the lecture with an explaination about how you cannot really define something. A definition always consists of concepts that in turn need to be defined, creating a sort of infinite loop. That is, unless we cheat and eventually come to a concept that is intuitive enough that we can avoid defining it for practical purposes.

Fascinating, but apparently one of the most difficult courses in my program. Woo... and (of course) the prof barely has a grasp on the english language.

I have trouble sleeping regularly aswell..it does suck. Something that helps though--for me atleast--when thoughts are keeping me up, is: I find something really boring to do but requires a lot of attention, like counting down from a really large number or doing the alphabet backwards. This kind of diverts the attention from worrying about things or whatever to that, and eventually that gets boring and I fall asleep. I know what you mean about the productive thing though.. I feel the most concious when I stay up late..and feel I do the best work then aswell.. but it's horrible for your social life and everything is closed.
