Update time!
Just wanted to let you guys know about my "yesterday".
My pro photographer pal IRL asked me to be his assistant at another shoot. This time, however, it was for a major motion picture poster. (Can't give out the name right now.)
The cool thing was that Ray Park, who played Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace was the star of the movie. He was exceedingly nice in person! He actually came up to me and said "hey there, I saw you earlier but you were busy (doing photog stuff) but I wanted to introduce myself...I'm Ray". Too cool.
Now for a surreal moment: right when he was saying that, the radio playing in the background was an ad talking about a new episode of The OC, I think, came on. Part of the ad is a teaser for the new Episode 3 of Star Wars...right when Ray shook my hand, the radio guy said "Revenge Of The Sith". HAHAHA!
Only the other assistant, Nick, there caught it. He and I chatted about comics...he had a Fantastic Four (4) tattoo but had never read Watchmen. He didn't know who Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Grant Morrison or Neil Gaiman were... I had to educate him on the fly.
Oh yeah, also hanging out there that day was Daniel Logan who played young Boba Fett in the movie. I didn't recognize him because he had grown like a foot taller and had shades on. But he was cool too.
Other stuff is happening IRL land...WoW and all that. How are you guys?
