Hurm,
Office Stuff
Thank you to all the beautiful people who still posted to my last two journals even though I had nothing to say. The last couple of weeks have been very trying times and I just wanted you all to know I still read every comment as they were posted, and I tried to reply to some as well.
I feel like I have this metal collar around my neck; it's so heavy that I can only move around with my head in the dirt. Work has just been nuts, with the moving out of the old office and moving in to the new office. The old office is 4000 sq feet and the new one is a mere 700 sq feet. Luckily I have had some friends locally that have helped me in a big way. I love you guys
Now the arduous task of negotiating with the new owner of my previous office is underway...ugh. If you have ever rented property, you know how this goes...they have my rather large deposit of several $K and they will try to find any little excuse to deduct as much as possible. My company will expect me to fight every little thing, but anything lost I will be blamed for. So it's not only an undesireable task but a thankless one as well.
Then after that, I have to assemble the new office and have it wired...more expenses.
I feel as if I have no energy for anything. The move has also been draining on my personal finances. Just more fun stuff to worry about. Hopefully before this month is up, all issues can be resolved. *sighs*
Happy Stuff
The only good thing to come out of all this so far is that I've gotten the large flatscreen TV that was in the old office. To celebrate, I went crazy and bought like 20 DVDs lol.

It's perfect since I'm so tired...just settling in with a seeming endless stack of movies to watch is wonderful. I watched The Pianist, Total Recall and Unforgiven yesterday...awesome.
Hopeful Stuff
Also I have to think hard about whether or not I can hire another assistant too...and possibly a salesman. The biggest trade show of the year is coming up in November so possibly some new leads.
SG Stuff
I'm sorry to all the people for which I promised I would write stuff. I have no creative energy right now and I don't want to write anything that I can't give my all to...
In the meantime, we actually went to Lawry's last Sunday. "Uncle" Sebsis came down to hang out, it was very nice to have company for once
I may try to go to Knott's Halloween Haunt sometime this month and try to meet up with some more SG people, but especially MissyTheImp and maybe Scopitone n' Odette. I will let all the local LA people know when I have more details!
Finally, in the past I have listed my "picks" for movies, songs and such; but, I don't think anyone is actually reading them. I think instead I will, from now on, pick one thing and talk about this pick in some detail. It's hard for people to look at those picks all the time when they come every journal and they have no explanation as to why someone should check it out. I think I will pick a song, album, movie or even a local restaurant from now on and give a lil' expository commentary on the pick. Let me know what you think...I'll probably start this next journal.
