a little late, i know.. my computer decided not to work for a few days.
my boyfriend came and ate with my family, and all that. i think they like him. so thats good. i didnt really have to worry, i knew they would like him.
familys can be ...well... no, always are odd for on-lookers.
and we are no exception, im sure. but im totally fine with that.
lots of odd ducks all put at one table can be great for real interesting conversations ive found.
example: my mom, me, grammy, my uncle and aunt were left sitting at the table - and somehow we were talking about last names, and Madonna came up, at how she didnt really need to have one said cause she was simply Madonna, thats all you need.
Grammy pipps up and says something like.. "well doesnt she have one? shes been married a few times right? what on earth does she write on her checks?! how can you not have a LAST name? it doesnt make sence..."
my mom and i start laughing real hard,
and uncle says in reply - "mom, she has a last name, but she doesnt need it to be said, cause shes so well known.. and i dont think she even needs to write checks.. its all taken care of for her, and she doesnt have to worry about it..." grammy: "i wish i didnt have to worry about saying my last name, or writing checks... what a luxury!"
by that point.. im crying im laughing so hard and other people have entered the room, wondering what the hell just happened because everyone who was involved her laughing really hard too...
yeah.. i know... i bet you had to be there for it... maybe theres something wrong with me when i find what an 85 year old woman says. but come on! it was funny.... i bet you had to be there......
::sigh:: family.....

no family came voer here. that will be for christmas. that will be fun...
shame ol grandfather isnt around anymore...i miss his rants from after drinking a combo of jagermeister and b&b...
my moms side doesnt drink. AT ALL. i could totally drink all of them under the table i bet, kinda sad... ive never seen any of them have more than one glass of wine.
my dads side is a different story - they are the typical family that doesnt get along, so IF they can all get together for a day, it ends up with all of them getting drunk becuase they are all alocholics, and getting into a huge family fight. it never ends well.
i guess you can never have a PERFECT family... right? one side has gotta be messed up in some way. ide like to meet someone who hasnt got that, and shake ther hand.
