boy, i am at a loss for any exciting news. which, in retrospect, is probably a good thing. it is basketball tournament time for the high schools, both boys and girls. i made a rare venture into the big city last night and was amazed at all of the out of town people. good for the local economy and fun for the students.

californians have no concept of cold. Hail causes them to think the Sky is falling.
a cloudy day, with slight drizzle, apparently, means that they can drive 20-30 miles over the speed limit, w/o their lights...and wonder why they slide, when they are Forced to slow down, by someone obeying traffic laws...

aaaaack...i just returned from seeing my cousin who is at a treatment center for his alcoholism. we found him 01/07 near death in his bedroom. he spent 2 weeks in the hospital and was sent to treatment. he had been taking court ordered Antabuse, but quit taking it in December. things went downhill rather quickly.
