well, happy holidays to my vast reading audience. i hope that whatever you celebrate, if you celebrate, goes well and the new year is prosperous. (all said in the interest of political and social correctness). we are having a good, old fashioned winter here with snow and everything; a remarkable difference from the past several years. i am happy because the days are getting longer and in a few months there will be warmer temperatures.

for those that heard about the 35W bridge collapse, work is proceeding 24 hours a day on the new span. a lot of concrete is being poured. it has been a far different commute for many in the absence of the bridge and it has made for a great deal more traffic on some streets in downtown Minneapolis. streets that sucked before the additional vehicle load. oh well.
