I splurged today and bought a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. I don't really have the money to spare, but I justified it by thinking about how much more Uni work I'll get done with the convenience it brings. My laptop is connected to the big-screen TV and tucked neatly away under the entertainment unit. The entire lounge-room is now my computer desk.

my screen on my laptop is officially fucked now.. so i have no choice but to use my 42inch lg lcd tv screen to use the net.. i just bought a couple of cheap rgb cables off ebay and plug'n'play'd my way.. the resolution isnt great.. im sure theres some way to boost it.. but it works ok for now.. lucky for me my tv has a pc rgb input.. but then again.. it also has 4 hdmi inputs.... why would i need so many?? who knows.. but it also has a usb input.. so i guess they are planning ahead for anything..

Yes you did get it for me and I am rather sure you did end up watching some of it.
I was thinking along the same lines as you, with movies. How if you enjoy a movie, watch the credits. Well I enjoyed the series, so I bought the DVD's. Makes sense to me, doesn't matter if it doesn't to anybody else.
